Senior Business Analyst Job Details
Transform on premise data centers. 6 data centers spread across Mexico, US and Canada will be evaluated for size and purpose.
Modernize, achieve a higher level of density, and decrease footprint.
All aspects of the data center will need to be considered: space, cooling, electrical capacity, telecommunications, server, database, and backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recover, and redundancy.
System migrations will be done with no outages, data losses, or security breaches. A step-by-step data center migration plan will be developed to meet requirements, budget, and schedule.
Conduct analysis and project management of data center consolidation activities
Conduct physical and logical site surveys to collect data on installed IT services, systems, and equipment.
Provide recommendations based on the assessments in support of IT systems optimization and consolidation program activities.
Schedule and oversee the installation and de-installation of products, and obtain acceptance and approval through an internal change control process.
Provide escort for data center activities performed by others as approved.
Support the requirements gathering for the consolidation and reduction of size of on premise data center facilities.
Communicate and collaborate with system stakeholders and users to analyze/interpret business requirements and translate the needs into data center requirements.
Must be comfortable synthesizing requirements and leading meetings in a dynamic environment of business partner engagement (meetings, workshops etc.
Works with Business Unit support, leaders, and other immediate team members to troubleshoot hardware, telecom, server, and database issues and implement solutions.
Leads collaboration across varied stakeholder groups within a project.
Senior Business Analyst Must Have Skills
2+ years of Data Center Operations experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analysis, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related
Excellent interpersonal/team-building skills are mandatory.
Strong skills in the areas of team facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, process mapping, problem solving, stakeholder management and project management.
Self-motivated, proactive, and excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills are required.
Exceptional customer service skills required.
Broad knowledge base of IT industry disciplines and approaches, proficient user of computer technology.
Experience with network communications, windows and VMware based operating systems, SAN storage.
Some travel will be required to Canada and the US.
Senior Business Analyst Nice to Have Skills
3-5 years of midstream/pipeline experience is preferred.
SCADA operations experience is preferred.
