Job Description :
Title: Senior Analyst, SEC reporting and Technical Accounting
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 2 Months (Possibility of Extension)


Duties:
External Reporting
Directly responsible for the preparation of external financial reporting, including 10Q''s, 10K''s and 8K''s, other financial reporting as required and other governmental statutory reporting.
Participate in earnings release process including preparation of the quarterly management reporting package, preparation and analysis of support for investor relations as required, and review of financial information included in the earnings release and script.
Directly responsible for the preparation and coordination of reporting timelines, and scheduling key quarterly meetings with management and external auditors
Directly responsible for the preparation of quarter-end data and other support information including the statement of cash flows and the weighted shares calculation, as well as various accounting documentation memos and related calculations such as the non-GAAP accounting memo
Directly responsible for coordinating with various groups within accounting, finance, tax and treasury to complete testing and memos required by external auditors.
Assist in ensuring compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting requirements, including evaluating the impact of recent and proposed pronouncements on SEC reporting.
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met for relevant areas (e.g. disclosure and equity accounting controls
Assist with the XBRL process.
Provide assistance with special projects.

Technical Accounting
Act as a technical accounting resource by assisting with researching, resolving and documenting accounting issues that arise during the quarter.
Provide technical accounting assistance for special projects, including coordinating project meetings and following up with stakeholders.
Responsible for maintenance of Corporate Accounting Policy website including periodic updates of all accounting policies.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements including the assessment of impact and related disclosures.
Assist with mergers and acquisitions including due diligence, purchase price accounting and integration.
Assist with SEC & other filings related to acquisitions, as applicable, including the preparation of pro forma financial information.

Skills:
Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience mix of industry and Big 4 public accounting firm experience preferred;
Overall understanding and experience in application of GAAP and SEC/financial reporting requirements including financial statements and financial statement footnotes
Proficient in researching and application of accounting literature
Self-motivated, strong work ethic and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations
Must be detail-oriented, have a proactive approach and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Must be able to effectively manage critical deadlines
Ability to provide coaching to junior staff, as necessary
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment
SAP experience a plus

Education:
Requires a BA/BS in Finance / Accounting; CPA required
Languages: English Read Write Speak
Certifications & Licenses: CPA
