Senior Manager Global Investments Security

Job Summary

Ensures the safety, soundness, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and accountability of the regional operating and technological environment within Global Investments. Provides advice and oversight to ensure the Global Information Security policy is complied with and offers leadership, direction, expertise, and applied experience to oversee regional security standards compliance. Is the subject matter expert in the area of Information Security systems and technologies for Global Investments.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Acts as the single point of contact for Global Investments on all aspects of Information Security

Participates as a member of the Global Security leadership team in developing global security strategies, plans, measures, programs and reports on the effectiveness of measure within the region to upper management

Works collaboratively with regional senior management and business unit management in overseeing physical security as it relates to restricting access to and protecting technology and information assets to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability and accountability

Proactively engages with the business to identify, document and drive remediation of risks or non-compliant activities

Escalates significant risks to the Global Chief Security Officer

Provides leadership and support of the Global Security Ambassador program and security awareness within Global Investments

Drives continuous improvement of Global Security program within Global Investments through the coordination of program assessments and corresponding corrective action plans

Ensures that appropriate stakeholders are held accountable as to the state of their controls and that they understand their responsibilities as to risk mitigation and remediation

Focuses on process improvements, removing deficiencies and enhancing current tools for reducing overall risk profile

Ensures compliance to security practices & standards reducing likelihood of audit, regulatory & legal liabilities

Ensures timely engagement and delivery on information security, business and/or technology initiatives and projects

Reduces security risks leveraging controls and minimizing weaknesses in our applications portfolio

Performs Other Duties As Required

Education & Experience

Bachelor''s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field, and eight to ten years of information technology security experience including managing technology professionals or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Master''s degree in related field (preferred)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) (preferred)

Technology Risk Management concepts and control

Managing to regulatory requirements for protecting information assests

Global technology organizational concepts

Principles and methods of information security, business continuity, technology disaster recovery planning, testing, auditing, risk analysis, business resumption planning, and contingency planning

Knowledge of regulatory protective requirements of personal private information (i.e. MyNumber, HIPAA, GLB, and financial integrity under Sarbanes-Oxley, and access and release control technologies)

Knowledge of and the ability to apply industry-recognized contingency and security standards

Mastery in verbal and written communication in English
