Security Engineer MUST be GC/USC
Location: Wilmington, DE; & Baltimore, MD; would consider someone in Rochester, NY
12 – 18 Month
Our client is looking for local Security Engineer for a long-term project. Must be100% onsite, no remote.
If you have Web Proxy experience and are able to understand secure gateways, etc. you are a perfect fit for this role.
Must Have:
1) 7 years of experience as a security engineer with firewall technology, proxy, or VPN
2) Experience with web proxy and firewall services
3) Hands-on experience with one or more the Cybersecurity solutions
4) Working experience with CASB solutions
5) Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols, DNS/HTTP/HTTPS/PKI technology, network ports, network address translation, & access lists
6) Ability to read packet level network traces
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of seven years of experience as a security engineer with firewall technology, proxy, or VPN
Experience with web proxy and firewall services
Hands-on experience with one or more Cybersecurity solutions like email security gateways, SIEM, SAML/SSO, DLP, and data encryption
Working experience with CASB solutions
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols
Advanced knowledge DNS/HTTP/HTTPS/PKI technology
Advanced knowledge of network ports, network address translation, & access lists
Advanced experience in troubleshooting skills in the areas of security and networking
Ability to read packet level network traces
Duties include:
Provide engineering-level support of our perimeter security applications
Responsible for high-level troubleshooting of perimeter security related issues around web proxy and firewalls
Deal with technical issues, vendor relationship and license management, business continuity planning, capacity planning, audit/compliance, disaster recovery, and platform maintenance
Responsible for drafting support documentation and 24x7 third-level support call rotation
Assist in establishing and enhancing regulatory and compliance processes
Responsible for engineering security technology solutions following all best practices set forth by leadership
Complete technical security deliverables on assigned projects
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP
Knowledge of patching and backup processes
Ability to create network and system diagrams with Microsoft Visio
Working experience with Symantec DLP solutions
Red Hat Linux (RHEL) administration experience
Advanced knowledge of Forcepoint Web proxy technology
PowerShell or VBA scripting
