Security Operations Design and Architecture (SODA) Team within Corporate Security is responsible for the setup of MasterCard security logging and monitoring services that involve File Integrity, Database, Operating System, Infrastructure, and Applications security.
Manage the policy, configuration, and rules for many security monitoring systems for the Security Event Management Group.
Providing critical efforts to projects for expanding security monitoring globally for MasterCard.
The global team also provides security protection services that include: intrusion prevention, anti-malware, data loss prevention, wireless security, mobile threat protection, web url filtering, and application whitelisting.
A new functionality for the greater team is the ability to integrate various security technologies into existing security monitoring frameworks. API integration is a key function that the SODA team will be utilizing to move forward the interoperability requirements of the security monitoring infrastructure at Mastercard.
Ability to work through APIs, regex tuning, integration scripting, and event correlation alerting through Security Information Event Management.

Designs, builds, unit tests and supports services in an agile environment.
Integrates services with legacy systems and APIs, and provides clean interfaces to clients.
Produces high quality, elegant implementations on time and according to plan.
Provides development and API-related troubleshooting support during and after integration.
Will provide API integration result driven work to include scripting and complex security alert integrations.
Collaborates with cross-functional, distributed teams. • Performs effective project management involving both internal and external team members.
Builds strong relationships with peers and contributes vibrant culture at Mastercard.

[All About You]
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development using Java.
Minimum 5 years developing web applications and services. • Expertise building against various types of API and integration protocols.
Experience working with Python scripting language.
Experience working HTTP concepts as well as Apache, Tomcat, Postgres, MySQL.
Experience with REST, JSON, XML, SOAP API.
Proven Java/Scala service framework development experience.
Experience developing in a UNIX environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related area, with at least 5-8 years of experience.
In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, extensive coding and scripting skills is required.
