The position of Scrum Master will play a critical role on one of several teams which are building real-time trade processing systems for one of the world''s largest and most successful financial firms.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective and program increment planning meetings.
Manage the scrum process
Remove impediments
Help the product owner to prioritize the product backlog making it ready for the next sprint
Ensure the project is working smoothly and every team member has appropriate tools to get their work done efficiently
Execute the backlog as wished by the product owner, making sure that deliverables are on time with production quality
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
Ensure effective team collaboration
Encourage self-organization within the team
Ensure the team is focused on business value delivery
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Assess the scrum maturity of the team and coach them to higher levels of maturity
Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
Acts as a safeguard for his team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor''s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
3+ years of professional work experience as a scrum master for software development teams that were diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory
Excellent?skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Strong project management and organizational skills
Teaches others and is open to learning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional work experience as a scrum master
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban
Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
Excellent mentoring skills
General software development experience
