Overview

The Client sales engineering team is responsible for developing the Sales interfaces supporting Call Centers, Retail stores, and several other critical channels. The Scrum Master will participate in design, planning, development, release, monitoring and overall delivery of our web, mobile and application deliverables. The Scrum Master will be challenged to facilitate a positive self-organizing team culture for teams tasked with building new features and experiences that support millions of business & customer transactions each day while meeting the highest standards of availability, stability and performance. The right candidate will be assertive and work to bring people together to help solve complex problems with an iterative, feedback driven approach.



Responsibilities

Ensure healthy team dynamics where every team member has information, communication, tools, technology and feedback to get the job done

Facilitate team ceremonies; daily scrum, user-story grooming, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospectives

Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised in an open, honest and respectful manner with an emphasis of understanding, resolution and problem solving.

Shield team from outside distractions, interference and forces which negatively impact velocity

Tracks, communicates and works to remove impediments on behalf of the team

Act as a servant leader for the team, and leading by example

Works with product owner and team to ensure product backlogs are always in good shape

· Ensure future sprints are defined in the backlog

· Support and educate Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming, user story definition and backlog health

· Ensure team is confident about user story intent and their ability to deliver

· Manage external dependencies impacting story sprint planning readiness

· Maintains and evolves definitions of story completeness and works with Product Owners to ensure efficient use of backlog grooming sessions

Provides estimation, planning and metrics to create useful, reliable and practical plans for feature development and delivery

Helps team and/or individuals to clarify, action on and achieve goals

Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity

Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information



Skills / Experience

5+ years Scrum Master experience in software development environment

Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.

Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices

Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Testing and Automated Testing

Ability to analyze risks and provide mitigation plans

A degree in computer science or other technical disciplines; extensive, directly-related experience may be considered in-lieu of degree(s) Personal Characteristics:
