Job Roles/Responsibilities
Essential Duties
1. Ensure successful delivery of the project and meeting customer needs on time
2. Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
3. Guide the team on how to get the most of out self-organization
4. Guide the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
5. Assist the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
6. Remove impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
7. Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
8. Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
9. Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
10. Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
11. Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
12. Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

Must Have Skills:
Required Skills/Experience
1. 12+ years of IT experience, 5+ Years of PM and 2 + years of SM experience
2. First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
3. Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
4. Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
5. Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
6. Knowledge and experience in agile/scrum management tools (JIRA, Rally, Version One, TFS, PMF etc)
