Overview
Seeking a versatile, self-driven software/Agile craftsman for the role of IT Software Scrum Master. In this role you’ll help build an environment that delivers complex products with elegant solutions utilizing a continuous delivery process. You’ll be responsible for leading the Agile transformation and the practices promoting accountability and transparency across all levels of the organization. As an Scrum Master you should be passionate about group dynamics and not afraid to raise issues and drive change. A successful candidate will need to be a thought leader, understand Servant Leadership principles and have an insatiable appetite for learning new things while improving existing ones.

Responsibilities
Define, develop and implement ongoing improvement of Agile practices (with an emphasis on Scrum)
Effectively provide either feedback to team members in a way that promotes growth and development
Support and educate Scrum teams how to become Agile
Help build and contribute to an environment where continuous improvement of the software development process is the focus and everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding value to our customers utilizing the most optimal path
Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and lead by example

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or equivalent work experience required

Certifications
CSM preferred

Knowledge/Skills
Required
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices
Good understanding of SDLC
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Agile Games
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Strong self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively with limited guidance when necessary

Experience
Required
Experience performing the Scrum Master role for a software Scrum Team
Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
