Spark/Scala Consultant

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6+ months

Role: Contract

Job details:

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in software industry with at least 2 years'' experience in Spark/Scala/Hadoop.

Mandatory skills:

* Programming experience in Spark/Scala, Java
* Have strong experience in designing and programming in Scala in Unix/Linux environment
* Ability to write scalable, reliable, high performance distributed application
* Good understanding of Apache Spark architecture and having hands-on experience
* Familiar with Hortonworks/Cloudera Environment.
* Strong design thinking process

Secondary Skills:

* Hands-on experience in Map-Reduce, Hive, Hue, Yarn, Sqoop and Oozie.
* Good knowledge of RDBMS(Teradata
* Sound knowledge about Hadoop ecosystem.
