Salesforce Release Manager
Location; Alpharetta, GA

The Release Manager is responsible for implementation andcontinuous improvement of processes and procedures in support of Salesforceconfiguration, development and migration. The candidate will be responsible forplanning, coordination and oversight of our Salesforce releases, patches, andemergency change requests. This role will work closely with agile developmentteams.
The candidate will help drive definition and evolution ofrelease processes and support automation that optimizes efficiency and qualitywhile meeting the demands of rapid growth and operational complexity.
Dutiesand Responsibilities:
Define and evolve strategies that support metadata assource code and Continuous Integration/Delivery.
Help build a release management workflow at enterprisescale that will ensure successful migrations.
Define and manage release readiness and success criteriabased on business requirements
Perform environment refreshes while ensuring they aredone appropriately.
Ensure that sandboxes are created to meet developmentrequirements and reduce the impact of erroneous refreshes.
Work with development staff to troubleshoot environmentissues
Define roles required to support the release managementworkflow.
Implement the appropriate strategies for controlling andmigrating changes through the environments, ensuring there are repeatableprocesses with sound change management.
Define and support a standard migration (deployment)process, including how to handle rollbacks and hotfixes.
Understand and make recommendations to improvereliability and sustainability of regular configuration and deploymentactivities for the enterprise.
Identify and recommend the automation of variousfunctionalities in the Salesforce delivery process.
Identify third-party tools and technologies that willassist in the management of our Salesforce configuration.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Salesforce (including but notlimited to managing sandboxes, users, process builders; how to use changesetsand their limitations; etc
5+ years of experience with ANT/Eclipse and Jenkins.
8+ years of experience that covers working across theSoftware Development Lifecycle (i.e. experience with development andoperations, and/or existing Release Management role) with multiple teams.
A proven track record with release management tools andconcepts.
Experience using agile project management tools (such asJIRA
MUST have 2 years working in Salesforce implementations
Experience with Agile development and release practices.
Experience with Bitbucket or other source control tools
Exposure to Ansible and Salesforce Advanced Admincertification (ADM 211) preferred.
