Salesforce Developer with Communities Cloud

Location: Palo Alto CA

Duration 3-6 months, could go longer

Salesforce Developer

5+ years developing on including VisualForce and Apex

3+ years developing on Communities Cloud

Strong Salesforce configuration experience including developing custom objects and custom Community Cloud UI configuration

Experience implementing Salesforce functionality like workflows, validation rules, triggers, controllers, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, outbound messaging and Process Builder

Experience using Apex to consume web services such as REST APIs
Experience managing large volumes of files using records/data storage
Experience working under Agile project methodology
Salesforce Certified Developer certification required
Box integration with Salesforce a plus

The qualified candidate must also have

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interface directly with business and technical staff
Ability to work with other technology teams in order to facilitate the interface between Salesforce and other systems
Ability to work independently while proactively identifying and communicating issues or opportunities to project team

For context, here are some details about the project:

Client is implementing Salesforce Community to provide a portal for its College Partners. The Partner Portal will provide long term value for Client relationship with its College Partners by offering a collaborative and user-friendly platform to securely exchange information. Secondarily, Client will be utilizing Salesforce’s CRM capabilities to provide its staff with a robust Partner Relationship Management system.

The Partner Portal will:

Provide an exceptional experience through intuitive navigation, custom look and feel, and a user-centered design.
Support complex business processes centered on data and file delivery for multiple Client programs.
Allow College Partners to access information and updates, view and download resources, and utilize a host of other features such as event management, form submission, etc.
Allow Client staff to easily maintain and operate a system supporting 39 College Partners and operational reduce redundancies while allowing customization.
Utilize a solution architecture that allows for interoperability, flexibility, and scalability (onboard new College Partners, adapt to new Client programs, iterate on new features

The Partner Portal and Partner Relationship Management system will be implemented in phases, starting with an MVP. The MVP will focus on the Partner Portal, and include functionality for data and file delivery, access to information shared by Client , and access to resources shared by Client .
