MUST HAVES
Salesforce Developer with a minimum of 5 years Salesforce exp. we would like to see people who have approx. 8-10 years of developer exp. in total.
This role will have quite a lot of interaction with the business so we will need someone who can liaise at all level, be solutions oriented with a professional demeanor.
Financial Services exp. would be a nice to have but certainly not essential.
The role will report into VP, Application Development who is based in NY.
This role will offer a longer term opportunity to grow into a Solution Architect type role and build a team. There will also be opportunities to work on additional projects outside of Salesforce from time to time.
Summary
Primary Function & Essential Responsibilities
Hands-on development of various components of Salesforce implementation – core VisualForce, Lightning, Apex scripting, Pardot, Shield, etc.
Work with business users, business analysts, to understand requirements, propose best practices solutions, and technology solutions.
Administration of Salesforce platform and establish best practices for user adoption, monitoring, information security, reporting, and user management.
Strong adherence to software development practices, continuous integration tooling, and agile development best practices.
Responsible for effective communication and interaction with project teams.
Manage quality aspects of offshore and outsourced development initiatives.
Responsible for peer code reviews as well as vendor code reviews.
Requirements for the Role
Experience:
5+ years of cumulative experience designing and developing solutions on Salesforce platform in financial services or equivalent business domain
Experience with key Salesforce components -Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, Shield, and integration practices with Salesforce
Experience with integration frameworks, Git, Jenkins, etc. preferred
Strong understanding of software development practices and patterns
Detail oriented, focus on quality of reports data, continuous improvement, strong analytical and organizational skills to effectively work in a dynamic environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical Platform Specialty:
SalesForce and related components – Apex, VisualForce, Lightning, Pardot, Shield, etc. Reporting Platforms/BI tools – Tableau, Microsoft BI platform, SSRS, MicroStrategy, etc.
Some level of JavaScript knowledge/experience
Strong knowledge of Source Control Management/CI tooling – TeamCity, GIT, TFS, Octopus, etc.
Education/Certification:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience.
