Position - 2 (SYSTEMS ENGINEER)
SKILLS & BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of Dev Ops and/or System Administration experience.
- Linux based Application Support.
- Web application deployment and maintenance support
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical solutions
- Linux administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Comfortable UNIX shell scripting and/or Python scripting
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a group environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience working with Distributed Data Processing platforms and/or technologies
- Familiarity with distributed processing on large clusters (Amazon EC2 or Rackspace Cloud)
- Experience with YARN
- Knowledge monitoring services such as Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager, etc.
- Experience deploying in an Enterprise Environment.
- Log aggregation tools like Splunk or Logstash
- Scheduling technologies like Cron or Autosys
- Exposure to project management systems such as Jira
