Engagement Description
"Report Developer – SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server 2016
You will perform custom report development, data and application integration for a Truck Dealership Management System (DMS
You will need to understand the business operations of a Truck Dealership, including Sales, Service, Parts and Repair."
Role Description
Gather and clarify reporting requirements from company CFO with limited input.
Full ownership of report delivery from requirements through development, testing, user acceptance testing and deployment using Agile development.
Business rules and data analysis of DMS database to accurately design data source; tables, stored procedures or T-SQL code. Document design and obtain approval.
Develop SSRS reports and data integration using Microsoft best practices.
Ensure reports are developed to meet information presentation and aesthetics best practices
Collaborate with existing offshore Report developer and share development responsibilities to provide faster delivery of reports
Prepares design specifications, implements any required data mapping, including documenting and revising user test plans as they relate to reports
Estimates time to complete team level assignments breaking down user stories/requirements into actionable tasks
Accurately communicates status on individual assignments and prioritize to complete on schedule
Develops deployment and roll back scripts for releasing changes into production
Experience
You must be well versed in creating code that takes data and turns them into detailed reports.
Candidates will need to have a strong background with T-SQL and Stored Procedures using SQL Server 2016, SSRS and SSIS. Prior experience in gathering requirements from
senior executives will be highly beneficial.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor''s Degree or higher
2+ years of experience developing reports with SSRS
5+ years of experience writing Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
1+ years of specific experience with documenting process and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts,
while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
Development experience leveraging advanced capabilities of SQL Server 2016
Experience in a detail oriented role working within a team
Effective communication and deduction skills"
