Position Title - Sr DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer
Location – Irving TX 75039
Work Status – 6 + month Contract
Main Skills = DevOps, AWS, EC2, Fargate, SNS, RDS, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, Lambdas, Auto Scaling, S3, and Kinesis; CICD, Node.js deployments
The 50% DevOps part is :
Automating the code for deployment
Code comes from the Developers to this person and this person deploys the code
Using infrastructure in the cloud to deploy code to the cloud
The 50% AWS part is :
Using APIs to deploy the code and giving stores access to the Cloud via APIs
Giving Stores secure access to the Cloud using APS and AWS security
This work is more network related
Cloud / code configuration and security
The key is that in addition to the DevOps part above where they automate and deploy the code that the person should also be strong on the AWS side of the fence with AWS cloud configuration, working with APIs and configuration to give the client stores access to the cloud, Cloud security config etc….
Job description
As a Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS you mush have experience with the following:
Experience with all aspects of DevOps (source control, continuous integration, deployments, etc
An in depth understanding of AWS cloud architecture, configuration, and management
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with configuring and deploying micro services on cloud leveraging high scalability and high availability design patterns.
Strong Experience in AWS Cloud platform and its features which includes EC2, Fargate, SNS, RDS, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, Lambdas, Auto Scaling, S3, and Kinesis.
Strong networking and security experience preferably on AWS cloud (VPC, LB, Route53, Security Groups configurations etc
Strong understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks, cloud-based access, and security controls
Strong background in Devops related practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and infrastructure as code
Experience with the following development and Devops related tools: Git, Jenkins, code pipelines;
Experience supporting Node.js application deployments
