Role: SQL Tuning and Application Database Performance expert
Location: Baton Rouge LA
required skills:
Experience in SQL Server (2014 and above)
Strong skills in both logical and physical database design/modeling
Strong skills in performance tuning of SQL queries
Strong skills in writing Stored Procedures, Packages, triggers, Views
Strong skills in query tuning and application functional analysis for large JEE applications
Strong skills with secondary structures for optimizations; Indexing, Partitioning, Compression, clustering, caching.
Experience with analyzing database wait events.
Experience with JEE/WEB applications are a plus
Experience in tuning Java generated SQLs with tuning for large systems with over 1200 tables for heavy online transactional, batch and data marts
preferred skills: Experience with both JEE, T-SQL and ANSI SQL with expertise for data centric applications
Experience in automating data fix processes and queues by building utilities
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts is necessary.
Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to understand methodologies and tools used for delivery and display a passion to follow and devise processes for improving quality
Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables
Education: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience
responsibilities/ expected deliverables : 5-7 Years of application development experience with at least 2 to 3 years focused on PL/SQL centric development activities
