Job Responsibilities:



Support and implement existing and new database systems to assure quality and efficiency of the systems meet the requirements of the company
Develop, document assigned database implementation, enhancement, and operational policy guidelines
Implement, and normalize database systems
Define, create, organize, maintain logical, physical, and production databases
Execute test data and test program performance necessary to assure program/system performance according to design specifications and end user requirements
Maintain system end user documentation necessary to ensure effective end user operations and IT support
Maintain database backup/recovery standards and disaster recovery plans and processes
Maintain, review, and update database security standards
Analyze database application security settings and recommend changes to improve security configurations
Assign user access levels as authorized
Initiate support activities including problem analysis, technical evaluation, work estimates, and implementation services
Participate in support activities with all applicable constituents including customers, IT staff, vendors/third parties, and business managers
Understand the interdependencies of all applicable constituents necessary to complete support activities
Identify resources and communications to facilitate work completion
Develop logical data models and program interfaces for applications systems
Keep current on technologies through self-directed learning
Train new team members and assist with orientation to policies, procedures, and responsibilities
Provide support for questions, problems, and ideas
Serve as an escalation point for less senior team members for problems and inquiries requiring further evaluation beyond the associate skill level
Participate in project and/or business meeting and engagements with internal customers and external vendors/third parties, which includes the participation in conference calls or visits to remote facilities.
Introduce new customers to IT services to assist in familiarizing them with appropriate systems, services, policies, and procedures
