Title: SQL Server DBA
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Duration: 12 Months
Description:
- 7 years of experience
- SQL Server 2012 - 2017
- Some experience doing PowerShell Scripting
- Windows experience because they do their own SQL Server patching - Active Directory (patching, setting up and finishing the clusters)
- Performance Tuning
- Any encrypting data at the DB level would be a good plus
SSIS, SSRS
- Experience with monitoring tool AAG (AlwaysOn Availability Groups) and DAAG (Distributed AlwaysOn Availability Groups) would be great
Differentiating Abilities:
- Be able to bring a consultative approach to the DBA role. Ability to interact with several other - - Domino''s departments that are making requests of the DBA team; ask questions like, Why are you doing this? What are you using the data for? They want their DBA''s to not just be "ticket takers", they want them to have consultative conversations with end users.
- Non-relational DB experience is a huge plus. Any of the NoSQL stuff like Mongo
- Masters Degree is a plus
SSAS - Cubes experience is a big plus
- They are exploring running SQL Server on Linux so any experience here would be a huge plus
