SQL Server DBA / Developer
Location: King of Prussia, PA / Wayne, PA
Duration: 6 months contract to hire (no visa sponsorship)

The Senior Database Administrator and Developer is responsible for all activities required to provide a reliable, robust, and secure production environment for transactional and dimensional databases. This will be a hands-on position involved in database administration, architecture, design, development tasks, day-to-day production issues, performance analysis, and other activities that may be necessary. These solutions are multi-terabyte databases implemented primarily using Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition (2008R2 through 2016
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures related to database management
Required 7+ years of solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and above. Must know SQL inside and out.
Required T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures, triggers, indexes)
Required SQL Server Database Design, Stored Procedure Design and implementation
Experience coding complex stored procedures (using T-SQL
Experience with developing SSIS packages
Experience with SSAS
Hands on experience setting up and maintaining transaction replication
Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues
Exposure to MSMQ
Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Providing database support for development and deployment of database scripts in Development, Test, Pre-Production and Production environments
Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users
Experience with column store indexes, indexed views, and table partitioning
Support of Windows Server and clustered environment
Development experience in C#, VBScript, and PowerShell (not required – would be helpful)
