Role: SQL Server DBA
Location: Bentonville, AR
Duration: 9 months
The requirement is of an intermediate level SQL DBA with mandatory migration experience. Summarizing below.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience – Intermediate level
SQL DBA Experience(Multiple SQL versions – 2008 to 2016
Migration experience is a must.
Command Line Tool Experience : PowerShell or TSQL(Intermediate level is enough)
Production DBA + Disaster Recovery : Big Plus
Cloud Experience : VM Provisioning Level, Access Level experience is enough. No expert required. Beginner level will do.
Based on the above skills set requirements,
They are looking for seasoned SQL DBA who has migration experience with multiple versions of SQL. Someone who has dealt with migrating many applications. Higher volumes with multiple stakeholders to deal with.
Azure/Cloud experience expected is beginner only. Nothing mandatory. The existing team can teach basic level and coach when required. In house Azure knowledge is strong in this team.
Special Note :
The are 100+ applications to migrate, involving constant communication with application owners and many other infra stakeholders. So we need a very strong communicator. Someone who is sharp and quick. A good problem solver.
The project timelines are critical. So resource is expected to be productive starting first two week with sharp learning curve.
Existing team has many skilled SQL DBA’s. They will handhold our resources in areas like cloud and others.
