Our direct client is looking for a strong TSQL Developer with experience in working with large scale highly transacted SQL Server databases. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying performance issues and refactoring the existing architecture that interacts with its Portal application. The candidate will work closely with the .NET development team to ensure all updates are functional with the application. The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years/SME level of relevant experience with SQL Server database tuning, TSQL and working with a SQL database that is integrated with a .NET platform. The environment is SQL Server 2008 R2.
Must have solid refactoring experience.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Must have solid refactoring experience; review existing database design and performance to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest methods for improvement.
Create, optimize and maintain complex T-SQL including stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and queries.
Tune SQL database performance by improving overall table design, indexing, query plan analysis and refactoring.
Ability to understand and reverse engineer existing complex SQL queries to refactor in a more efficient way.
Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
Review database objects for data integrity, quality, security, recoverability, scalability, maintenance and capacity and recommend changes as necessary.
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
Experience using best practices to build fast efficient ETL''s.
Exceptional problem solving skill - especially with problems that may be beyond your breadth of knowledge.
Support of a high-volume Production environment.
Nice to have:
Application programming experience in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, Knockout
Experience with web services/JSON
Experience with RedGate tools
Experience with Luiqibase
