PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility
Primary functions for this role include:

Serves as the principal point of contact for SSIS, T-SQL, and SSRS developments.
Works with business stakeholders to define requirements for ETL and SSRS Reporting needs.
Develops and implements data integration flows (ETL) using SQL Server Integration Services.
Creates and modifies complex reports within SQL Server Reporting Service; maintains and supports existing reports and implementation of enhancements.
Designs, develops, and maintains database tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and supporting objects.
Troubleshoots and corrects production ETL/Report issues.
Optimizes stored procedures, T-SQL, views, and functions for the best performance.
Refines and automates regular SQL processes, track issues, and document changes.
Creates and maintains technical documentation as required by standards and policies
Collaborates with internal and external Clients as well as Developers and Business Analysts to define and understand technical requirements of clients.
Participates in design and code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
Provides after hours support for scheduled deployment activities and critical issues as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This job requires:
Bachelor''s degree (B. A from four-year college or university
and,
Minimum 5 years of IT experience; 3-4 years of RDBMS system with an emphasis on developing, implementing, and maintaining ETL using SSIS and Reports using SSRS; three years of back end application development and design using SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) using Microsoft SQL Server
Expertise with SQL Server 2012 / 2014 / 2016 Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS)
Expertise in SQL and stored procedure tuning
Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands
Ability to read and interpret general business documents, instructions and manuals, write routine business correspondence, and speak effectively with employees, clients
Advanced arithmetic skills (compute rate, ratio, percent; able to draw and interpret graphs and charts)
Ability to solve practical problems, dealing with a variety of variables where little standardization exists

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:

Document Management: MS-Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Database Software: SQL Server 2014, 2016, SSIS, SSRS

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Database preferred but not required.
