Required Skills:
This client offers a SaaS-based solution for use by healthcare provider systems and hospitals to get better visibility into patient data, operations data and financial data. The system not only tracks and reports what the individual hospital or health system is doing but also how they stack up against others. Their data team is down a couple of people and need a contractor to come in and help them for a few months until people return. They need someone who can provide Data and ETL support to help turn around and integrate the data they purchase from different vendors and need help loading ETL output. There is also a new project starting to enhance the entire data throughput process so this person may contribute to that as well. They will be heads down and mostly hands on the keyboard, not a ton of client interaction.
They should be able to write strong SQL code, be able to work with ETL (SSIS) tools to load data into the system and contribute to performance tuning with SQL database to make the system run most efficiently. Those are the keys to this role (SQL development, SSIS/ETL and performance tuning) and they will move quickly!
3+ years (ideally 5-10) experience with SQL development working with large datasets (terabytes)
Experience with ETL processes (loading output, throughput, etc) with SSIS and related tools Experience with performance tuning in SQL environments Ability to integrate flat files into SQL environment, work with different data types Experience performing systems analysis to improve performance
Must Haves:
Strong SQL development skills with large datasets (terabytes) Ability to work with ETL to take flat files and load into SQL Work on performance tuning, make system go faster
