Position Description / Description of Duties:
Location: Pittsburgh
ASAP start date
We are looking for a strong SQL developer with administration experience.
The client needs assistance with migrating data into SQL Server from a No SQL database and they are having issues with unformatted data. .
Project is 3 Plus months to start but we are also positioning for more follow-up work.
Skills needed:
Experience with 2008 R2 required
Good experience with SSIS
Experience with data modeling (Erwin, modeling, relationships, etc) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS
Some experience with administration (DBA) to setup new instances of SQL Server for testing purposes.
We need a consultant which would have to be a 30% mixture of data modeler (creating tables, understanding relationships, creating foreign keys, etc) and 70% SQL Server Integration Services expertise.
Job description:
They are migrating onto a new loan origination system (LOS) called Mortgage Builder. It’s a COTS product
that is based on a Rocket UniVerse backend.
This basically means it is a “no SQL” or a “big data” backend by
most measures.
Their original intent in purchasing Mortgage Builder was to (and they feel they were promised) leverage the
currently existing SSRS reports so that no rework on reporting would be required. However, they quickly found
out that a no structure database such as Rocket UniVerse doesn’t translate well over into a relational structure.
They’ve purchased ) an ODBC driver. This allows them to finally export the data files into a repository, and
then import it into SQL Server 2008 R2.
