Job Description:

Our client is looking for a SQL Developer with great Power BI skills as well as recent hands on experience with SQL Azure, Blob storage and Azure portal for one of our clients based in Redmond, WA. This consultant will lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of all database related work as well as develop new and modify existing Power BI reports and dashboards and provide technical support for the applications.
Qualifications
Self-starter with recent experience working in or with Microsoft IT group.
Recent, hands on experience with SQL Azure, Blob storage, Azure portal.
Experience with HIVE is nice to have.
Experience in developing Power BI dashboards
Strategic and in-depth technical understanding and development experience of BI/DW architectures.
Strong experience in architecting and designing scalable, resilient and highly optimized database design.
Extensive experience in writing and troubleshooting Transact-SQL code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
Expertise in ETL methodologies and data manipulation requiring complex SQL coding
Evaluate ETL and reporting components in enterprise data warehouses, and make recommendations to improve information delivery solutions
Organize complex enterprise data into compelling visual presentations to satisfy analytical and operational reporting needs of the client
Participate with business analysts to gather requirements; produce technical specifications and deliver ETL processes and reporting solutions according to specifications
Advanced knowledge of SQL Server components (Profiler, SSMS, SSCM, DMV’s, system stored procedures, SSIS, SSRS, ETL, OLTP, OLAP, Data Warehouse
Participate in Business Requirements and Functional Requirements meetings, identify gaps in requirements and drive discussion around appropriate solutions.
Communicate and defend design, requirements, feature set, functionality, usability and limitations of subsystem to team and/or development lead or manager.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work under continual deadline constraints are necessary.
Desire and ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a results-oriented, fast-paced dynamic environment.
Solid knowledge of business fundamentals and ability to work productively with functional partners
Ability to work onsite at the client 40 hours per week
Previous consulting experience a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
