Location: San Antonio, TX
Type: 4 + Months Contract
Job Description:
Provide expertise in design, configuration, implementation and support for Data Center Migration efforts.
Experience with various versions of MSSQL Server and Oracle.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex database problems.
Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server and Oracle.
Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts – must have
Experience in Perl/Shell scripting – must have
Experience with Data Center Migration Projects preferable
Ability to solve problems on his/her own without seeking much assistance from team.
Ability to multi-task
Should be comfortable on taking on-call schedules.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Should be able to work on site during working hours.
