Seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator in our Mountain View office to be responsible for performance of critical SQL Server databases, implementation, configuration and maintenance.
A successful SQL DBA will ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications.
The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, takes direction, and relies on extensive experience and judgment to proactively implement, configure, tune, and monitor our Production database.
This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for automating the database operation and help streamline internal database processes.
This person will help in database development and sustainment of the SQL Server Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, managing SSAS cubes and support the development team.
This person should have a good understanding of Power BI and analytics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Manage Always On, Disaster Recovery Environment, Replication and Azure connectivity
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Identify and fix SQL Server performance issues, query optimization and stored procedure performance improvement.
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Automate database task, Backup, Restore operations of production databases to other environment for testing and development purpose.
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Requirements:
5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) – Always On and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
Experience working on SSIS packages
Knowledge of Power BI
Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to organize and plan work independently in a rapidly changing environment
Microsoft certifications a plus
