Job Description:
QA Engineer will provide support in developing SOA/integration interface test plans and estimates, automated test script development, executing service test scripts, reporting/tracking defects. The tester may also contribute to functional test automation efforts using Selenium/JavaScript tools
Essential Job Functions:
1. Understand SOA Reference Architecture.
2. Contribute to test automation scripting standards and best practices.
3. Identify test automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of test services.
4. Develop and maintain test plan and test cases with associated test data based upon functional and non-functional requirements.
5. Develop, implement and maintain quality and test procedures, processes and best practices for QA.
6. Participate in all phases of web services system testing.
7. Test web services using SDLC best practices.
8. Test web services using automated scripts (CA Lisa, Rest Assured, SuperTest, etc
9. Participate in the web application technical design process with the Application Architects on Internet and eCommerce related development projects.
10. Work within various test methodologies such as SAFe agile & Conduct tests, document and analyze test results and present findings to development
11. Develop a repeatable process for designing, developing, and executing scripts.
12. Write automation scripts and participate in peer reviews.
Project Specific Requirements:
1. 1+ years of using JIRA for user story management and defect tracking
2. 2+ years of using Quality Center/ALM for test case management
3. 1+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum methodology
4. 1+ years of automation testing experience using Selenium WebDriver/JavaScript
5. 2+ years of Java/JavaScript programming on test automation scripts
6. Knowledge of SOA frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches
7. Demonstrated experience in XML, XSD, XPath, MQ, Topics, HTTP, HTTPS, JSON
8. 2+ years of hands-on, automation testing of integration web services (both REST and SOAP protocols) that include database validations
9. 5+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance
