SENIOR APPLICATION SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (Oracle CC & B)
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration : 4+ Months Contract

SUMMARY:
The Senior Application System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the operation of company applications and systems.
This role is actively involved in developing and advancing best practices and tools in support of client’s Application infrastructure.
The administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, and support for primarily the Oracle Customer Care and Billing application and support of the PeopleSoft systems including upgrades, new releases (PUM), optimization and implementations.
This position is located in San Jose, California.
Main requirement is Oracle CC & B

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Installation, configuration, maintenance, administration and support for CC&B and PeopleSoft FSCM and applications
Installation of patches and fixes for CC&B and PeopleSoft Architecture for the development, test, and production environments
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of application servers, process schedulers, web servers, report servers, and file servers
Migration of code in all environments
Configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of CC&B and the PSFS application environment
Coordination with the IT service group to setup roles, permissions, and general development security
Coordination with the development team in the review of major new technical areas for performance and database impact
Coordination with resources to define and maintain CC&B and PeopleSoft requirements
Coordination with Infrastructure/Network team to define Window/Network systems requirements
Provide technical and production support for existing CC&B and PeopleSoft applications
Troubleshoot development and production application problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
Assist with debugging and tuning the batch cycle
Work with technical and development team to resolve performance issues and troubleshoot applications
Serves as part of a team responsible to maintain an availability rate of 99.99%
Plans and coordinates testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current, and future environments
Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement processes for application and system monitoring
Develops work plans and tracks/reports status of assigned projects/tasks
Assists in the creation and maintenance of system and integration documentation
Ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations, audit or other applicable compliance guidelines


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor''s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a related field of Information Technology
A minimum of five (7) years of experience in Oracle applications; Customer Care and Billing (CC&B 2.4.0.2) on a Linux Platform
A minimum of three (3) years of back up support for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 and HCM 9.0 application on both a Windows/Linux platform

One or more of the following certifications:
Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 12c: Performance Management and Tuning
Oracle Database 12cR2 Administrator Certified Professional
Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator
Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Linux 6 Administrator


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Oracle application and database administration (11g/12c), experience with ASM and working in a RAC environment
Extensive experience in tuning Oracle Enterprise Manager with EBS, Oracle R12, People Tools and application management pack experience
Extensive WebLogic administration experience
Extensive experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues for Oracle products
Advanced level experienced in configuring JVM and Oracle thread pool workers
Experience and administration support of UC4 or other batch processing
Understands the workflow and process requirements of complex application systems
Requires strong Linux; RedHat 6.0, and Windows operating systems 2010/2012 experience, including strong shell and Perl scripting for administration tasks
Provides Level 3 support for the application. Must be able to support 24 x 7 during on call rotation. Also enables production support team to tackle Level 2 support and issues
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Able to mentor junior members of the team
Knowledge of regulatory and operational standards
Experience in project management
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Project
Ability to work alone or in a team environment
