We have an urgent requirement for SCCM Engineer with our direct client

Position: SCCM Engineer
Duration: 9 months
Location: Augusta, ME

Key Responsibilities:-

Configure System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to apply Microsoft security updates to Windows Servers.
Perform administrative tasks from System Center consoles, provide application support for the SCOM and SCCM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules.
Review and update SCOM console security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews, and create and install custom Management Packs (MP) as needed.
Deliver SCOM views via Remote Desktop Web Access, create custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) technologies, and provide problem resolution for SCOM components and related custom scripts.
Ability to communicate how to leverage technology to create business value and become more effective and efficient
Work with managers and peers to understand and solve challenging technical problems, produce effort estimates, and improve system functionality, reliability and reduce costs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:-
SCCM duties include:
Assist with creating and administrating advertisements, programs, collections, and custom reports in SCCM.
Assist with troubleshooting failed SCCM deployments and SCCM health issues
Administer SCCM software delivery including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted and large-scale deployments.
Assist in the administration of the SCCM back end to keep the system running and healthy, including upgrades and changes to core components, site boundaries and bandwidth settings.
Assist with managing and administrating SCCM client health including client remediation
Other tasks as assigned
SCOM duties include:-
Analyzes, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs
Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company policy
Recommends resolution to complex matters of significance and coordinates the implementation of the approved course of action
Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning
Recommends course of action and implements as approved
Oversees the installation of client department-specific applications and systems
Ensures installations are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; determines revisions or updates to installation as needed
Coordinates testing, upgrades and configuration of system files and services
Ensures changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based upon results
Prepares for and prescribes approaches to possible downstream implications
Other tasks as assigned

Skills:-

Perform administrative task from the Operations Manager console
Perform administrative task from the Configuration Manager console
Perform administrative task from the Service Manager console.
Perform administrative task from the Orchestrator Manager console
Develop and execute test plans for deployed solutions
Validate patches and security policies for enterprise tools and operating systems
Grant permissions to allow responsible groups to manage resources and work queues
Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation and provide training as required

Qualifications:-

Understanding of the Microsoft System Center suite of products.
Experience with the installation and administration of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2016
Experience with System Center Configuration Manager 2016 in an enterprise environment
Experience using the Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting engine to automate tasks with SCOM
Experience with System Center Service Manager 2016
Experience with System Center Orchestrator
Experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
Experience major Microsoft technologies including PC and server operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, Office, and Azure.
Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware, Hyperconverged and Microsoft technologies
Knowledge of multiple processor systems, RAID hardware, SCSI attached, and storage area network solutions, preferably experience with HP and EMC hardware.
Knowledge of data backup, replication, and encryption technologies, utilizing VMWare, Hyperconverged and EMC technologies
Knowledge of LAN/WAN network infrastructure technologies
Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, SSH, TELNET, SNMP, FTP
5+ years IT work experience in a global information technology infrastructure environment
Solid written and verbal communication skills
