Job Description :
Fully administer SAS Data Analytics Platform (DAP), including all the products installed on the platform
SAS 9.4 system maintenance i.e. Installation, administration, architecture and operations
Security, backup/restore strategies, User and system problem triage support
Understanding of the SAS 9.4 Architecture in a multi-tier environment
Experience administering SAS 9.4 Platform environments in a multi-tier environment
Knowledge about SAS 9.4 Servers (Metadata Server and Application Servers)
Experience with Security and Authentication topics (related to the access of source data, the access of data within SAS on the SAS servers across the different business organizations as well as SAS’ integration with tools such as Active Directory/LDAP)
Hands-on experience using SAS 9.4 Management Console (Experience with plug-ins such as: User Manager, Library Manager, Folders etc
Experience with SAS Grid and process load balancing, resource management
Experience troubleshooting SAS 9.4 environments
Experience with backup and restore strategies
Experience with license file updates and maintenance, hotfix installation and configuration
Experience with hotfixes, release/version upgrades and migrations
Experience managing multi-tier SAS platform with the following:
SAS Statistical Modules including Base SAS and additional statistical modules
SAS Data Integration Studio
SAS Enterprise Guide
SAS Enterprise Miner
SAS Model Manager
SAS OLAP Cube Studio
SAS Workflow Studio
SAS Visual Analytics
SAS Administration Software
Provide knowledge transfer to others regarding a multi-tier windows platform instance
Provide technical guidance and support to client staff currently supporting the reporting environment.
Develop policy and procedures for the data analytics platform
Fulfill all standard SAS Administration type duties such as creating users, groups, defining libraries, databases (DB2/Oracle/SQL Server/others), creating security scheme, implement security profiles, configure SAS tools on DAP, apply hot-fixes issued by SAS as appropriate, monitor DAP platform for operational status and resources, monitor security access to the platform, etc.
Be responsible for day to day operation of the platform
Serve as the primary End User point of contact for any SAS Analytic Tools support cases, will help to troubleshoot analytic tool issues for our users, especially those interfacing with SAS.
Interact with users, operations teams, and SAS Support. They will access SAS Technical Support tracks and perform root cause analysis to provide solutions to problems, will assist in the design and implementation of analytic solutions, will create and maintain security, and perform software installations, configurations, monitoring, data migrations, upgrades, and other environmental tasks.
Work with infrastructure teams for hardware concerns and ongoing maintenance and upgrades.
