The SCM IBP Expert reports to Senior ERP SCM staff and will primarily support the team’s design, build and implementation work for the implementation of integrated business planning solutions along with Budget Planning Integration within the Umoja system Landscape.
The SCM IBP Expert is expected to have in-depth subject matter expertise and work experience in SAP IBP and SAP APO (Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning So, the position is more suitable for a person who has grown from being an SAP APO Consultant into an SAP IBP Consultant.

Scope of Functional duties:

As part of Umoja’s Supply Chain Management team, and under the supervision of Senior ERP Analysts, the SCM IBP Expert will be responsible for the following duties:
o Following SAP and Agile methodologies, standards and ERP SAP Supply Chain implementation best practices, contribute to the design, build and implementation roll-out of IBP solutions to build a seamless process for demand forecast and planning, sourcing decision and supply planning with integration to existing logistics processes in ECC and budget formulation in BPC.
o Support the gathering and definition of requirements for the SAP IBP solution in Umoja, working with the various concerned Umoja teams in transitioning, testing and providing further feedback with respect to functional requirements.
o Contribute to the preparation of business specification documents, functional specification documents and training materials, inter alia.
o Contribute to the preparation of test cases and execution of testing cycles to support the delivery of SAP IBP, including the provision of demos of modules on request.
o Monitor deadlines and deliverables, and communicate status updates to the project lead against milestones, escalating as appropriate.
o Provide go-live preparation and post-go live functional and technical support, including acting as focal point to address questions/issues and services requests regarding the implementation of the Umoja IBP solution.
o Provide input to the security architecture, role design and related requirements in close coordination with the Security team.
o Perform knowledge transfer and train other core team and Business project team members to sustain the implemented solution.
o Record and follow up on tracking incidents or production change related work orders.

IBP-specific Functional and Technical skills and experience:

o Extensive design, configuration, integration and implementation experience in all IBP modules (IBP Demand, S&OP, Response and Supply, Inventory and Control Tower) having been involved in at least 2/3 full life cycle implementations.
o Deep understanding of SAP Cloud solution infrastructure and IBP road map.
o Knowledge of and ability to advise on IBP security aspects (i.e. Business Catalog, Roles, Business and Employee structures) in order to support security team and IBP security design.
o Functional and technical knowledge with accompanying project experience should include:
o Definition of attributes, master data types, planning areas, planning levels and business key figures, time profiles and time periods.
o Definition and build of integration points and information flows (time-based, order-based and execution) between IBP and ECC
o Developing statistical forecasts, statistical models and optimization tools (and the ability to explain in business terms how to interpret the result and adjust the model to improve the accuracy
o Forecasting based on bill of materials
o Definition and mapping of ECC material master data (based on required planning attributes) and logistics EOS structures to execute IBP activities
o Demand aggregation and disaggregation (between ECC, IBP and BPC)
o Response & Supply use cases, including supply simulation, viewing planning results, viewing confirmations.
o Supply Planning based on SRM/ECC sourcing options such as Contracts, Source-lists, Info-records, Quota Arrangements, Old POs etc.
o IBP Inventory use cases, including inventory positioning in network, inventory optimization, drivers of inventory, what-if analysis.
o Defining a robust inventory data baseline using the IBP inventory optimizers.
o Defining efficient and appropriate utilization of IBP Control Tower for end-to-end visibility, decision support, fast corrective action and alert management.
o Integration and visualization of data from multiple systems (i.e. ECC, BPC, TM, 3rd party Systems) into ad-hoc dashboards.
o Implementing SCOR based KPI reports for supply chain visibility on information from IBP / ECC / TM and SAP BW.
o IBP integration with SAP BPC: Ability to balance demand and supply within the budget constraints defined in BPC.
o IBP integration with SAP BW (for BPC and any on-premise reporting requirements
o Configuring and managing the HCI & SDI integration and file adapters
o Managing functionalities embedded in excel Add-In frontend for IBP and in Fiori apps.
o Managing functional/technical activities during quarterly upgrades.

o Strong 10+ years of experience in implementing and delivering APO DP/SNP full life cycle projects.

Desirable experience and professional skills:

o Working knowledge and experience with SAP/IBP within an application architecture which includes an Extended Classic Scenario implementation of SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM
o Experience in IBP collaboration scenarios through SAP JAM.


Education:

o SAP APO and IBP Certifications.
o APICS CSCP certification.
o Statistics background and/or education.
