The end users supported are the global community in Schlumberger using these systems.
In accordance with business needs, this role would be responsible for ensuring and improving the functional and technical quality and management of the above-mentioned applications with a focus on data quality, sufficiency and completeness.
Materials Master Data Analyst is expected to work closely with the Business Process Experts to ensure data quality, compliance and operating procedures.
You will work in an international and multi-disciplinary team. SAP MDG expertise with MM domain rich experience with direct interfacing with customers is mandatory.
This role directly reports to Materials Master Data Services Lead.
Key responsibilities:
Create and Maintains Material Masters, BOM''s and other related Master Data in SAP.
Execute changes to SAP Master data as approved by business review process including request to create, change, extend, block/unblock, activate/deactivate or otherwise modify master data.
Perform mass updates as required. Use Excel to review and load data to SAP via Winshuttle Script.
Support day-to-day SAP ECC and SAP MDG workflow requests for master data updates.
Insures Material numbers are linked to correct GL accounts & part classification
Extending materials to plants, serial batch management etc.
System monitoring and user management related activities
Regression testing for global SAP ECC and SAP MDG project rollouts
Work with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues
Ensure data quality, compliance and consistency of master data across business systems
Support the business with required procedures, submit incidents and change requests when needed
Assist business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation
Should be able to write functional specifications in detail.
Understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and provide expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with this knowledge.
Ensure compliance to existing, and development of required data and reporting standards.
Develops functional specifications and co-ordinates with BASIS and ABAP personnel resources to complete object development and testing"
Responsible for the proper support of Master Data and resolution of all tickets in a timely manner, as per Service Level Agreements (SLA) goals.
Execute and monitor the processes and technology within the defined SLA’s to cleanse, standardize and/or enrich data outside the enterprise MDG and MDM solution(s
Prepare Data Quality Scorecards. Analyzes trends and statistics to create action plans for process improvement.
Analyzes business operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
Initiates, develops, and shares best practices & lessons learned, across the data pillar.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or IT related field
10 to 15 years working in IT enterprises in a support environment.
8+ years of experience working in Materials management domain using SAP ECC
3+ years of experience working in Materials management domain using SAP MDG.
Hands on experience using Winshuttle for SAP MM to develop and record bulk load/update scripts
Experience working in captive units & working in shifts is an advantage.
Microsoft Excel knowledge to include pivot tables, graphs and presentation layers
Key competencies:
Good skills in configuring Material Master, Purchase Requisition (PR), Request for quotation, Purchase Order (PO), Agreements, Info records, Release Procedures, Pricing, Automatic Account determination, Inventory Management, Reservation, Transfer Posting, Stock Transfer and Physical Inventory process, valuation and batch management, split valuation etc.
Good knowledge of different procurement processes like direct, indirect, third party, subcontracting, stock transport orders, stock transfers, account assigned POs, asset procurement, consignment etc.,
Should have good master data management skills including developing and working with data migration tools.

Experience on requirement gathering, creating requirement specifications and working on documenting use cases is a must
Should have good experience in estimating application change requests and working with third party L3 development teams
Experience with Remedy Incident Management ticketing platform is preferable
A good understanding of business requirements and prioritizing needs so as to deliver a cost-effective service is essential to success.
Experience in Oil & Gas industry is a plus
