Job Description:
Understanding of the BPC consolidation component in general
o Understand basic functionality of the consolidation process
o What are the BPC components
o Understand key data elements used in a consolidation system
General understanding of financial statements à Finance guidance will be provided, but financial statements should not be a foreign concept for the BPC support person
o Balance Sheet
o Income Statement
o Cash Flow
Basic understanding of general accounting concepts o Recording sales, expenses, accruals etc.
Knowledge of the BPC
o Reporting Options in BPC
EPM add-in functionality
Using spreadsheet logic
EPM functions in spreadsheets
Visual Basic Macros (standard and custom) for BPC
Multiple reports in 1 sheet
Axis sharing
Formatting
o Script logic
o Business Rules
o BADI
o UJKT (logic debugger)
o Data load options: load files, upload template, journals
o BW Structure and BPC related objects
o Knowledge of the BPC utilities
o BPC security concept
Functional background
o Accounts and their hierarchies
o Understand Finance language
o Being able to translate Finance requirements into system requirements to fix an issue or work on new development
