Role: SAP BASIS (ECC) Consultant
Location: Arlington, TX
Duration: 6 month+ contract
Visa: US Citizen or GC Only
Description:
"SAP BASIS (ECC) Consultant” to join our team in "Arlington, Texas”.
Position Functions or Responsibilities: Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other team members.
Coaches, motivates and guides team members.
Utilizes best practice processes around work assignments, project management, and quality of output while maximizing overall team performance.
Builds relationships with customers to improve services and ensure service levels are being met.
Has advanced functional knowledge of area of responsibility.
Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
Creates business process flow charts for customer and technical review.
Qualifications: Experience as an SAP Basis Consultant in at least 3 full cycle projects upgrading SAP ECC, including handling large databases.
Experience upgrading SAP ECC to Ehp 8Strategic and tactical knowledge of SAP landscape planning, BASIS best practices, cutover planning, and most of the following: sizing, HW / SW provisioning, data center liaising, connectivity, middleware / technical integration
Proven track record providing day-to-day technical and deep diagnosis skills, covering new SAP installation and ongoing maintenance across NW ABAP& Java stacks, and recent versions of most of the following products: Enterprise Portal, ECC, GTS, PI, and GRCStrong hands-on experience in most of the following: system copies, backup/restore, sizing, support packages / enhancement pack upgrades, SSLcertificates, firewall modification requests, single sign-on (SSO),RFC destination setup, printer/scanner /handheld device setup, Correction& Transport System (CTS+),system performance tuning, root cause analysis; and resolving Early Watch, short dump, and other monitoring/health check report issues
Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential for this position.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences effectively, both business and technical.
Strong decision making abilities.US Citizen or Green Card required Typically requires 6-8 years relevant experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
