Role: Ruby on Rails Developer
Duration: 6+ months contract

Job Description:
The candidate accepting this position MUST meet the following:
MUST HAVE A strong (10 years) Ruby development experience
MUST HAVE 7+ years development experience with Ruby on Rails framework
MUST HAVE 7+ years development experience building web applications
Must have a HIGH level of proficiency coding in Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails
Must be able to drop in to existing code, and quickly begin testing and fixing issues
Must be able to "hit the ground running" and contribute to an existing project
Must be able to pick up defects, identify, and resolve problems at the System Level.
Must be willing and able to fix bugs, RSPEC, and work with other Sr Developers
Responsibilities:
Be adaptive to last minute changes to the requirements and architecture and work flow
Be part of a fast pace project with opportunity for Overtime
Be part of an extended Agile Scrum Team:
Attend daily stand-up meetings, attend iteration planning meetings
Be part of a close team and pair-code as needed
Work closely with QA to address issues identified quickly
Work on assigned user stories and defects
Understand RSPEC and be able to fix issues
Minimum Requirements:
Ruby on Rails, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, etc
Experience working in Agile development environment
Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality features and fixes in Ruby/Java on schedule
Good communication skills and ability to document work
Independent and self-motivated
BS or higher in Computer Science or Related Field
Additional desired skills:
Understanding of Linux at Admin/configuration level
Understanding of Networking (IPv4/IPv6)
Understaffing of LDAP protocol
Deployment, configuration, and setup of Web Services
Working understanding of Docker, ISO, OVA, and Networking
Ability to learn quickly and critically
