Role: Senior Application Developer – Python
Work Location: San Jose, CA
Mandatory Technical Skills:
Strong programming skills including the ability to create highly flexible and performance-tuned user defined functions
Extensive knowledge in Python
Extensive knowledge of querying languages for both SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience extracting data from web services and working with JSON and XML output
Strong debugging skills.
Deep understanding of any of the major operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac OS) with respective web applications development and deployment.
Ability to analyze, and solve technical problems with minimum guidance.
Should be self-driven and perform tasks with minimum guidance.
Proficient in standard Office tools including Microsoft Office in particular Excel, Powerpoint
Excellent communication skill as well as a confident demeanor and focus on driving collaboration and problem resolution are vital to success in this role. Individual should be very organized and thorough at work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand internal stakeholder’s requirements to develop scripts/applications in Python.
Conceptualize, design, implement and develop solutions for critical data-centric projects.
Consult with client groups to assess user needs and understand the business processes; convert user requirements into technical solutions.
Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to understand and apply changes/modifications impacting data repositories.
Follow the release cycles and implement on-time delivery of bug fixes, change requests and enhancements. Troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
Desirable Functional Skills: • Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
