Position Description Overview
The Lead DevOps Engineer/Enterprise IT Architect supports the Product Development teams through their Agile life cycle and take our in-house applications from design to full production rollout.
You will ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet customer business specifications and support the strategic direction of the enterprise. This candidate will work closely with the development, test and commercial teams supporting high demand, cloud based software components servicing Payments and Mobile Banking operations.
You will work with the product teams to design and agree to an architecture that promotes maintainability, scalability and security. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of the service and will lead the product teams whilst integrating our change and incident management processes.
Job Requirements
Works as a DevOps Engineer. Experience with continuous integration and deployment utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GIT, Atlassian BitBucket/Stash
Strong background in cloud and virtualization - Pivotal Cloud foundry (PCF) and AWS
Experience with provisioning using Puppet, Chef, or similar tools
Strong technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards
Strong background in security, network protocols and Linux configuration
Experience in working with both physical and virtual environments.
Research and evaluate new technologies to help improve our business objectives
Develop of tools and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for the technology foundation of our platform
Lead the design and building of a fully automated self-service platform in AWS, but that could also work in a hybrid cloud environment
Continuously improve our infrastructure to be easy to deploy, scalable, secure and fault-tolerant.
