Key Summary:
The Data Architect will design, build and optimize the client’s Technology Platform conceptual and logical database models. He/she will create and maintain the data model that maps data elements to the capability and business process model. The data model will include the source system, owner, format and relationships for the elements. The Data Architect will design and document the integration method(s) required to manage, share data and report securely and efficiently through the platform.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Adaptimmune’s data model including but not limited to owner, format, source, business process, capability, in a user friendly manner
- Evaluate, recommend, implement and evolve standard approach, methodology and tools for managing, sharing and reporting data
- Design, develop and maintain database management systems to manage the secure and reliable access to accurate data
- Contribute to the creation of database backup and recovery plans that align with business requirements
- Determine how data will be stored and utilized
- Research and investigate emerging tools, technologies and techniques for evaluation and recommendation for Adaptimmune use
- Ensure that logical and physical models remain compliant with Adaptimmune’s security requirements
- Ensure that models, design, implementation and ongoing capabilities meet compliance requirements
- Act as a subject matter expert in any activities involving data, data analysis or trending and reporting. The scope may include the acquisition of new capabilities, the expansion of existing capabilities, improving the efficiency of existing capabilities or the maintenance and support of existing capabilities
- Additional tasks and deliverables as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 8 to 10 years of hands on data modeling, database design and management experience
- Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin
- Leading cross functional teams in discussions and design sessions for data oriented topics
- Understanding of information systems and data life-cycle management best practices and methodologies, formal systems engineering life cycle (SELC), and systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with enterprise data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, and SQL
- Solid understanding of GxP requirements
