Business Analyst
Location: Springfield IL

Job Roles/Responsibilities
-Assist staff with IMPACT procedures
-Respond to questions timely, appropriately and proficiently
-Remain polite and courteous at all times
-Communicate effectively when interacting with State staff
-Effectively adhere to client expectations and meet standards
-Computer resource navigation
-Effectively and efficiently utilize provided resources to locate resolution
-Ability to compose and send email messages professionally
-Adhere to internet usage policies that will be provided
-Data entry/processing
-Ability to learn processes as presented in development sessions
-Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office Suite
-Prepare and submit reports as needed
-Data entry, analysis and review
-Inquiry resolution via in-depth research including trial and error
-Assist with process and production improvement
-Assist with system implementation goals and guidelines, as needed
-Work as a team on projects

Prior BA experience required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of PC usage
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Ability to accurately gather requirements documents

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Customer relations experience required
Healthcare, claims and credentialing experience preferred

Performs complex, specialized paraprofessional functions in accordance with processes and standards in the MMIS Provider Enrollment Services department
Provides BA expertise for CORE and implementation of other initiatives.
Acts as a liaison between Provider Enrollment and other areas regarding assistance with the IMPACT system full implementation.
Evaluates documents for accuracy and viability according to state and federal rules, regulations statutes, programs policy and procedures. Assists with federal and state audits/certifications.

Skills Needed
Proficient written and verbal skills combined with the ability to tailor verbal responses to leaders regarding questions
Experience conveying content and using various tools to aid the dissemination of information related to the IMPACT system and Provider Enrollment
Experience executing decisions guided by instructions and practices that may require some interpretation and understanding of Provider Enrollment unit''s needs
Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and communicate issues effectively while meeting deadlines and production goals.
Strong oral and written skills with the ability to explain complex information to a variety of providers with differing levels of knowledge and understanding
Ability to effectively interact with leadership in multiple project areas
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) as well as SharePoint for managing documents. Experience creating email groups for targeted communication
