Technical/Functional Skills
1. 5+ years’ experience working in Java, PHP, Unix/Linux scripting and relational Databases.
2. Experience with Enterprise Monitoring of a large number of servers/processes and database instances.
3. Experience with cloud technologies; AWS.
4. Understanding of LAMP/ Apache/Tomcat Hosting Environment
5. Understanding of docker, packer
6. Understanding of web technologies.
7. 2-3 years’ experience with On-Air Systems, preferably Real-Time Transactional Systems and Market Data Feeds.
8. Excellent communication skills, team oriented, collaborative and flexible.
9. Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
10. Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Puppet
11. Part of the 24x7 operations support team, flexible to work in different shifts (early morning, late hours etc
12. Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs
13. Ideal candidates will also have familiarity with the following:
An obsessive desire to automate as much as possible
Collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki
Virtualization tools such as Vagrant, Packer
Provisioning tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation
Services such as Apache, NGINX, HAProxy, Varnish, PHP, Tomcat, Node.js, MySQL, MariaDB

The client is looking for an expert Operations Support Engineer to join our team, whose purpose is to support digital, mobile and onair applications.
Using the latest tools and technologies, this role will support environments hosted within internal data centers and in the cloud, implementing solutions to: provision and manage environments; and monitor existing infrastructure.
