Job Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
Provides bridge between the IT delivery organization and the business, acting as the Finance systems expert in partnership with various departments and third parties to deliver technology solutions that meet the system and process needs of Our client Brands
Deep understanding of functional area operating practices with strong understanding of industry best practice
Defines, specifies and documents requirements, challenging the business where appropriate
Ensure that accounting practices and processes are focused on business efficiency – such as ensuring that period close procedures are concluded successfully within 5 working days
Ensure that accounting structures are relevant and valuable – with a level of detail that is suitable for the purpose but does not duplicate data unnecessarily
Provide interface on detailed design with delivery teams, supporting the delivery phase through to successful QA
Leads the solution user acceptance and QA testing cycles - including test scenario documentation and sign off by the business, working closely with the local regional BA team as required
Works closely with the IT support organization to provide initial project close support and then transition to the normal support organization once agreed metrics have been achieved
Provides end user training documentation and used guides as required, supports end user training either directly or through the Regional BA team as needed
Business Analysis & Solution Definition
Uses analysis techniques to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements for both enhancements and projects.
Once requirements are captured - research and propose solutions to meet the requirements, agreeing the most appropriate solution with the users and IT teams.
Work with the user community to perform an analysis of issues support the resolution process as appropriate.
Implementation Management
Work with the PMO to define project plans and timetables and secure appropriate resources.
Work with Local & Global resources to ensure that projects stay on track
Communicate project progress to the business and IT leadership & users
Testing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Perform integration application level testing and develops any necessary supporting documentation.
Co-ordinate user acceptance testing.
Assist users in developing any necessary user acceptance testing documentation and/or training material.
Contribute to global QA process improvements
Liaison with the Development Team and Other Departments
Develop a strong understanding of Our client systems and interdepartmental relationships, ensures that all systems implementations/changes take into account any operational impact and work with the teams concerned to appropriately integrate with the company’s order management systems.
Assist the user community with process documentation and develop a strong understanding of their processes
Responsible for ensuring that requirement specifications and test scripts/scenarios meet user expectations.
Additional Responsibilities
Compilation of reports and documents as directed
Ensure the users are adequately trained in the usage of systems and supports training programs as needed.
Measures
Work with the Solution Delivery team to understand root cause analysis and resolution to common issues in order to reduce helpdesk incident volumes
Projects as defined delivered to agreed timescales and within budgets
Education & Experience
Education/Experience
Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business or similar field of study, or equivalent experience.
More than 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a finance-based role
3 years of Oracle EBS experience
Good knowledge of financial systems within an integrated ERP solution environment
Exposure to wholesale, retail & ecommerce business models
Fluent in English (Additional languages an advantage)
