Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities/Key Duties:
Build, configure, document, automate, and administrator Windows Server Operating
Systems on physical and virtual hardware located in multiple countries
Resolve assigned user incidents and train team members on the resolution
Proactively identify and troubleshoot system related issues
Monitor the performance, configure proper threshold alerting, and maintain the stability
of the Windows Server platform
Automate preventive maintenance tasks on Windows Servers
Assist with performing backup and restore administration tasks
Ability to engage and work with software and hardware vendors on remediating
identified defects
Participate in an on-call rotation
Required Knowledge/Skills:
Associate Degree or Technical school is highly recommended with a strong knowledge of
computer functionality.
Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
One to Two years Network Operations experience or equitant
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with all levels of
employees in a professional manner.
Strict adherence to company policies, confidentiality, and mature judgment must be
demonstrated at all times.
Assigned duties should be performed in a timely and accurate manner.
As this individual often represents the internal and external customers and colleagues –
professionalism is a must.
Must handle responsibilities by multi-tasking, working independently and with minimal
direction. Must deliver objectives both individually and by interaction with others,
therefore must demonstrate an understanding of organizational functions and
departments.
1-2 years experience with VMware, Windows OS (2008 and up), UNIX and Linux
1-2 years experience with configuration of Solarwinds specifically around monitoring
and alerting.
1-2 years LAN/WAN experience
