DETAILED ROLE DESCRIPTION

Function as a Project Manager supporting key projects. Must apply technical expertise and project management best practices to help ensure projects meet their goals and objectives. Must be responsible for the coordination of key deliverables/activities as well as collaboration across other Business resources. Receives general direction and guidance, but must be able to function as an individual contributor and work in a highly collaborative environment across various disciplines.

Manage GIS projects within the Business Intelligence Analytics area. Uses project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects/programs are delivered on time and within budget and adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
Effectively apply ELC / IT (GIS) PMO methodologies and enforces project standards across projects and work efforts.
Manage interdependencies across IT (GIS), working with GIS and Leads, Consulting Partner representatives, and other Project and Program Managers in order to identify and manage interdependent deliverables.
Direct and monitor work efforts across several GIS and non-GIS team members (on a daily basis)
Identifies resource needs and ensure resources are accounted for and delivering against their project/program commitments.
Manage project/program risk exposure and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
Communicates at the proper level of detail to the right stakeholders with the correct level of frequency.
Track key project/program milestones and manage project plans and budget and/or resources to meet the needs of stakeholders based on agreed requirements and scope, using defined change control processes.
Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources (people/money) of the work effort being managed.
Work with Global Applications Project/Portfolio Management Lead & Global PMO to support Portfolio Management efforts and selected PMO work.
Select appropriate work procedures and approaches to address technical/functional process and/or people challenges.
TECHNICAL/DOMAIN SKILLS

Must have 5+ years’ experience delivering and/or managing global IT application projects/programs, working at various levels.
Proven track record and experience in delivering projects/programs within the timeframe and budget
Experience leading complex cross functional projects / programs impacting core business processes including Research, Development, Quality Assurance, Retail, and HR (for example
Experience in retail business processes.
Experience having worked for a similar large scale global organization in a highly matrix, dynamic, and managed environment
Experience in managing relationships and deliverables across global IT and business organizations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially across senior IT and Business Leadership
Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools and methodologies such as those defined by Project Management Institute (PMI) and included in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK This should include knowledge and use of resource management, portfolio management, demand management, and governance techniques.
Must have experience in all core aspects of the Application/Software Lifecycle (SDLC) on several platforms
Advanced experience in Microsoft applications (i.e. Power Point / Excel)
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project
Methodical in approach
Agile Project Management Experience (preferred)
ITIL certifications (preferred)
