Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
Design and build software solutions using Hadoop technologies like HBase, Spark, Storm, NIFI and Kafka.
Analyze and Architect requirements/user stories to appropriately support design activities.
Designs and build integration components and interfaces in collaboration with junior developers.
Perform all technical aspects of software development (I write, I test, I support) and automation
Function as a team lead in an active member of an agile team through consistent/development practices (tools, common components, and documentation
Design and perform unit, component, integration testing of software components including the design, implementation, evaluation, and execution of unit and assembly test scripts.
Lead code reviews and tests of automated build scripts.
Debug software components, identifies, fix and verify remediation of code defects (own work and the work of others
Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
Minimum Experience:
Spark, Scala, Python: 5 years
Git: 5 Years
Unix, Linux: 5 Years
Java / J2EE: 5 Years
XML, XPath, Service: 3 Years
Sqoop, NiFI, Oozie: 3 Years
HBase: 3 Years
Minimum Education:
Master’s Degree / PhD preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Contributions to open-source big data projects (please provide link to repos)
Technical Certifications in the big data field
Additional Preferences:
API development and management experience
Professional SCRUM or other similar framework experience
Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
