Job Description:
Need Lead GIS Analyst who has experience with GIS and related technology using seasoned judgment to develop new insights into complex situations, apply innovative solutions to novel problems, and design new methods where established methods and procedures are inapplicable or are unavailable.
Responsibilities:
. To create and publish web maps, craft workflows/methodologies for analysis and data creation, and build Geo-processing operations using Python, SQL, and other tools.
Develop and maintain geospatial datasets including those stored in relational databases.
Conduct spatial analysis, data joins, spatial index creation, and visualizations of spatial and non-spatial data.
Create, document, and maintain process automation related to data maintenance.
Provide geospatial support to internal and external teams with data development, data normalization and transformations, spatial analysis, and on-line map creation, setup of ETL processes, training, and setup of field data collection apps.
Create and maintain of web map applications published via ArcGIS On-Line
Query, analyze and prepare statistics on spatial and non-spatial data within relational databases.
Prepare and execute workflows and geo-processing models using a variety of tools including Python, and ArcGIS.
Prepare and execute queries in spatial and non-spatial databases using SQL.
Conduct presentations on enterprise specific spatial topics at meetings and conferences.
Prepare and deliver presentations and/or training sessions related to mapping software, tools or procedures to internal and external audience.
Qualifications/Skills:
. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of GIS, its uses and applications.
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, with a MS degree in GIS preferred.
5-7 years’ experience in GIS, spatial data, spatial analysis, and leading GIS tool suites.
. Capable of analyzing processes and developing/implementing programs and applications based on ESRI GIS software products and current industry trends and standards.
Advanced-level proficiency using ESRI ArcGIS 10.x software suite, and Safe Software’s FME Workbench.
Proficiency in database management: create, edit, update, join, append and query data from spatial and non-spatial relational databases.
Proficiency in statistical methods and analysis including correlation and regression.
Experience with data visualization and graphics tools for the creation of professional presentations reports, web content, or education materials.
Proficiency in authoring Python and SQL for automation of routines and geo-processes.
Advanced-level proficiency using Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in project planning and time management (setting and meeting goals, using calendars, etc
Ability to create and maintain good working relationships and collaborations while being able to work independently and take initiative.
Genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits when finding new solutions.
