Description:

The Remedy Developer deploys, configures and maintains BMC Remedy ITSM tools and related integrations. Particular applications to be supported and maintained include Service Desk, Change Management, Service Request Management, Dashboards and Business Analytics, and Asset Management. Frequent interaction is required with IT Service Center, the change management team, the asset management team, database team, and server team. Problem solving, communication and teamwork are keys to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
Design, development, customization and administration of Remedy-based systems that align with Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Asset and Knowledge Management
Continuous optimization of these (and future) tools to better align with IT Service Management best practices (e.g. ITIL)
Customization and creation of Remedy workflows according to customer requirements
Ability to estimate work effort for customizations, enhancements, and configuration requests
Advanced analysis and troubleshooting
Creating and maintaining technical documentation with respect to system design
Testing code changes

Education and Experience:
Bachelor''s Degree, or equivalent experience
Experience with the Remedy Action Request System (ARS) versions 7.5 to 9.1 with specific focus on the ITSM Suite
Integrating Remedy with third party applications
Experience implementing and configuring one or more ITSM applications (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management, Asset Management, Service Request Management)
Experience with Atrium Orchestrator, Smart IT, and Smart Reporting
Experience integrating web AR systems with external data sources for population of data and auto-ticketing
Experience implementing and managing Mid-Tier and web based reporting technologies related to Remedy
Familiarity with ITIL Foundations ver. 3 is preferred
Knowledge of Remedy programming methodologies and standard software development life cycles
Strong familiarity with Oracle database
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences
Ability to understand and assess functional requirements, develop or recommend technology solutions to meet business needs
Team oriented with a track record of excellence in internal and external customer service
Experience creating reports using Business Objects and Tableau a plus
Ability to configure, extend or develop solutions from requirements


Technical Skills:
Remedy ARS versions v7.5 to v9.1 and additional BMC products
Atrium Orchestrator v7.6.04 and newer versions
Built Service Request
Used advanced interface forms
Familiar with server and client-based technologies, including hardware, operating systems (Windows and Linux), configurations and security
Database: Oracle
Tableau and Business Objects experience a plus
Web Services
