Role: Release Engineer
Location: Timonium, MD
Experience: 5-10 Years
Skills Required:
5-10 years of Unix system administration, Software engineering, Release engineering, or Configuration management
Troubleshoots applications to diagnose problems
Demonstrable skill in Unix scripting
Good understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle
Basic understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management practices
Demonstrable skill in administering and debugging Java applications; logs and error messages
Solid knowledge/experience of UNIX environment and network technology
Excellent understanding of web architecture
Solid understanding of load balancing appliances in a web environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with technical project leads, developers, quality assurance, and business team members
Excellent time management, written and communication skills, decision making, presentation, relationship and organization skills;
Ability to self-manage, self-motivate, and seek out process improvement opportunities
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Flexible and open to changing needs and expectations
Able to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Demonstrable familiarity with Oracle, SQL and the TOAD tool or SQL Developer.
Experience with release engineering, build or configuration management in Jboss or Tomcat or Glassfish or Capistrano web application environment is a plus
Experience/knowledge of Flyway is a plus
