Job Description :
Support the database infrastructure (troubleshoot, report & prioritize bugs & resolution) & manage to SLAs
Setting up backup, replication, load balancing and clustering
Monitor and tuning databases for efficiency and help drive improvements
Diagnose OS, network and storage issues as applicable to supported databases
Required Skills
Minimum 8+ years of solid DBA experience (Database Administrator), administering various database platforms like Redshift (minimum 1 year experience), MS Sql Server DBA Experience , Teradata DBA Experience
Familiarity with a wide range of database administration tools
Experience in capacity planning
Improve and promote operational scalability and standardization (i.e. have the ability to implement internal system standards, procedures, and services)
Strong understanding of logical and physical database design
Create tools and processes to automate administration and monitoring
Very strong sense of responsibility and commitment
Fast learner with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent problem solving, multi-tasking and communication skills with good prioritization skills
Knowledge of the features, pros, and cons of a variety of database engines, primarily, Redshift, SQL Server, Teradata
Ability to provide on-call support
Ability to manage and direct work with an offshore team
